My “focus” lately has been off to say the least…Many life changing events are headed my way and “try” as I thought about eliminating distractions…That has not exactly happened at this time…So basically with to much going on as life often hands you sometimes all at once…the distractions creep back into the picture and forward progress grinds to a halt…
What to do about it…First step is to recognize the “distractions” in the first place…once identified the next step is to see what can and will be done about them to make them disappear altogether..In my case this was to look at the main distraction and contact the right people that can help to move past this distraction so it will not be and issue…That I did…and by doing this simple act believed the not knowing what to do about it to the something is being done about it stage and in the mind accepting it for not solved…This will take a little time…the process has begun and can finally eliminate this distraction all together..
I found also at least in my case that along with eliminating that distraction another has come up as strong and must be eliminated as well…So again I find myself not focusing on the main objective that I need to achieve .Yet another distraction..I decided that enough was enough and put all my energy into eliminating this one as well..Once completed this will be one less distraction to deal with and I finally can be free to pursue what needs to be done..
Now is this wasting time not going after the main objective…not at all..how can it be?…I was not making any progress on it anyway so to move forward I must step back and see where the obstacles lie and deal with the distractions…sounds simple right? …not always the case yet must and yes needs to be done as in my case shows.
My thought for today is this…Take a look or step back if forward progress is not being maid on a goal or promise that you made to yourself…to many distractions in your way??…maybe and even if you think you have it under control…this might not be the case…eliminate the smaller distractions ..yes even at the sacrifice of the main objective…Why? you were not going anywhere with it so eliminate what stands in your way…email me at southcoasthealthyliving@gmail.com
How well do you focus on a challenge? This was foreign to me until recently. Focus who needs to focus on something. Why in the world would I want to do this? And other things that crossed my mind about this word “focus”. Boy was I wrong. This is what I should have been doing all along yet was unaware of how to go about the process. When you learn to focus your mind on a specific task the results can be enlightening.
We all have heard of the word multitasking yet how much quality time is spent on each task only to be forgotten and the next comes along. This was the same as what I was doing with different ventures until going nowhere with any I decided to focus on one that made the most sense and have my results changed. Yet focus is not enough alone to do the trick. You must clear the mind of other things that are distracting and of no use. This can be a challenge yet in order to achieve the results desired this must be done. Eliminate what is not important to what ever task you desire.
Here’s another way to look at it..a magnifying glass held over a pile of tinder on the brightest day will not start a fire if moved all over the place…Take that same glass and hold in one spot..Totally different results..A fire. Why? it was focused. This is how focused you must become in order to achieve the results.
Here is another thing I do to get focused..Place in your mind the results you are looking for..See It ..Be it…want more wealth..picture what it would be like with all that money..want a better body..same thing picture what you want to look like…in you mind. want more love..picture what that would look like..This helps me to stay focused by already seeing the results before they are real. Try it for Yes it does work.
My thought for today is this…focus your mind on what it is you want to do..eliminate all distractions and picture the results…like a laser beam on a target for does it not almost always hit the target.
”Thoughts Become Things” Do you think there is any truth to that statement! Well for years honestly I did not think about that at all and hell no way could thoughts become anything at all. Fast forward a couple of years and how I have changed on this subject. Well do you believe it or not? Has there not always been in the back of your head that what if it is true and if you think about something long enough does it really come to be. Well what do you think now? I know I know you say well I’ve been thinking about this or that and nothing has come about. How deep is your thinking about it go? Is it just a passing “thought” or is it something that has meaning and you begin to focus on that particular thing. How mine came about was I had to push what I wanted to the very deep subconscious mind and eliminate distractions that served only to distract me from what I want to do. My thoughts became real in my mind and you might not believe this but like the video explained people are placed upon your path that can help you get what you want it is you want. Yep I too was “yeah right” about this statement.
Until recently things for no apparent reason were gently placed in front of me . Did I always catch on …Wish I could say yes but sometimes I was left scratching my head then only when thinking about what I want to do did I get that “Ah Ha” moment accrued to me and became apparent to me “why” this person has crossed paths with me. Sounds like the old twilight zones shows does it not.
This situation I find myself in at the moment and I am now truely a believer in the statement “Thoughts Become Things” but will say this I do think its has to be more than a passing thought…It must be something that needs to be done and consciously and subconsciously be thinking about to bring around the people that can help you get what you want.

“Let Your Past Be Your Mentor” I’ve been thinking a lot about my past lately and all the stuff I really wanted to do yet failed to do. Are you like me living in the past. Question Why? Its over never to be repeated and well we must move on. However you must use it as a guide and let your past be your mentor. This is where we draw from experience and use to better ourselves yet it can only be a guide not to take over your life. All the mistakes and missed goals and the like as with every person alive has done must stay in the past.
Here is another quote ” you cant go forwards by looking backwards” I think though you must every now and then remember the past for that’s where the experience lies. Your experience. Then once used for the intended purpose let it remain the past and think forward.
“Analyst Paralysis” is another thing people get stuck doing .You need to make a decision yet you look to the past it supplies some information not all then you begin to analyze the decision and the paralysis sets in. The fear of making the decision and around and around you go looking to the past and over analyzing everything. The purpose of analyzing is to come to a conclusion. Period. And here’s the thing all the info analyzed cannot prepare for the future. Why Because it has not happened yet. Sometimes you just have got to go for it. Focus on what you want to do eliminate all distractions and prepare the mind for what is about to happen. Everything starts in the mind.

As I sit here writing this on this beautiful Sunday morning ..come on now every single day is awesome is it not. Oh so you don’t think so do you try this a quote that comes to mine..If you don’t think everyday is a great day…Try missing one. look at the true meaning of the words and see if it rings true. if not explain to me Why not. I would be eager to find out. now hold on yes I did for many years think of all the ugliness as opposed to the beauty that I should have seen..Fast forward to now and listen to the way people talk about things..Yes listen and really hear what they have to say. This day sucks because it’s raining or snowing or windy or fill in the blank. It does not matter and all the negativity that goes with those thoughts.
Try this instead when it’s raining and the Oh Crap I have to work in this again..Think of this our bodies are 70 something percent water (true figure escapes me at this time) and if it did not rain where would we get the water needed to stay alive..side note you can go much longer without food than without water. That should tell you something right there. Also consider this how many people don’t have enough water to drink everyday or dirty water unfit to drink or the draughts that are prevalent in other parts of the country. This should inspire you to at least say wow yeah it might be no fun wet all day in this job I really don’t like anyhow but come to think about it this rain is much needed and well at least I can get through it.
Here is some food for though do you take a shower a day or 2 times for the number really does not matter here is the point being made remember this in some parts of the world and probably right here as well that water that you see as ugly when Oh no I must work in this crap again is probably more than some people have to drink in any given day or longer and all for the sake of washing up. To the point if you ask me.
What about snow you say ..just frozen water waiting for the magic to happen and come on now have we all not had fun in the snow at one time or another. See the beauty not the ugly.

I just watched the most amazing short film about something that has been on my mind very much lately. This is probably the most accurate way that I have seen so far about “why” I need to do something . You see as we age and the though of mortality sets in you understand that we are not here forever. I speak for myself at this time ..I took a good hard look at what I have done with my life up until this point in time. And just passing a recent birthday “things” play out in your mind and you really begin to see where you are and the “things” you wanted to accomplish and have not.
I to wanted to do lots of things with my life..Then this though accrued to me..I wanted to do..Take a look at this word >wanted< for a moment.What do you see wanted a word like so many others written here but what got to me was this,,,..A child wants everything as so does an adult and listen to how people talk and yes until recently I to was one of these people. All you here is this I want this,I want that and i want,I want,I want. Ask yourself this is this not a very weak word. To me it is Why? well want are luxuries are they not and everybody wants many things I want the big screen tv,I want the new car,I want the _____fill in the blank and you will probally see a luxury.
Now change that word to need…Ah what happens. we need very few things yet are they not totally needed. Things change do they not. I need a place to sleep I do not want a place to sleep,I need clothes on my back I do not want cloths on my back,I need food in the belly I do not want food in my belly and at least in my case I need adventure in order for the mind to grow. And thats how I look at things for here is the biggest want need thing facing me at this moment. Change is in the air..Do you feel it? Not only are the seasons changing I myself feel change on the horizon. I wrote some of this yesterday and today was a signal that I was looking for. Have you ever been drawn to something yet the meaning is unclear. Today was that day for me. Today was different. I woke up late and was in a somber mood all day. This is usually a signal that something is going on. I don’t know about you but when I feel like this in this somber tired mood I tend to tune into things that I usually am unaware of. Then for no apparent reason I needed to go to the beach and look upon the mighty ocean. So off I went and today I finally realized why the ocean calls to me
Today the ocean was quiet and tranquil yet in my younger days when I sailed the giant tankers upon the worlds oceans little do you realize that no matter how big the ship you are but a tiny speck in a giant pond. I have seen many peaceful days while out to sea. Yet I have seen the full wrath of all of mother nature has to throw at you. Such storms where you begin to doubt that you will ever see a safe harbor again.
So what does all this have to do with healthy living or a healthy lifestyle that I write about here. This came to me today and I will explain. I see change on the way and know it will come. The ocean calls to remind me that ..Hey.. I’ve thrown everything at you I have and guess what your still here and then I hear words that ring like this ..If you are still here your purpose in life has yet to be served and you will not be harmed until it is done.
So my thought for today is this …Are you aware of the situations in your life that well frankly you are surprised that you are still with us? That’s a wake call that your purpose in life has yet to be fulfilled. Look what I survived. Well I’m back after a couple of days off from writing this blog..Nope didn’t go anywhere yet went everywhere at the same time. Been working on the emotional side of the equation for my healthy lifestyle choice and having some very deep to the core conversations with someone that has enlightened me in such a way that I never knew could exist. Have you ever thought about why certain things happen at certain times in your life when you think you are not ready for it but know deep within you have been preparing for it almost forever.
That’s what happening to myself at the moment. I just was looking in the wrong direction is all and when the subtle hints were to numerous to ignore that’s when things started to happen. As the saying goes ..Most people have eyes yet most cannot see..It;s funny I had this same conversation with someone at work the other day and he started talking about glasses…I guess he don’t get it. Do you get it? good if you do. This is one thing I wont bother to explain. Get it or not when found can be the most eye opening thing that could ever happen to you.
There are 6.5 billion people on earth and each one is as unique as the next and I didn’t believe that well yes I kind of did for is that not what the law of attraction is all about anyways you could connect with one of similar character and almost like talking to yourself. Boy was I wrong. Just goes to show that you can learn something new everyday. This was a positive experience for me an am not sure if it would work if you wanted to attract negative things into you life. Good question to think about. Than again why would you yet look around how many people do you see with such negative thoughts. Do they attract more negative thoughts? I guess the thought process is the same just be careful what you wish for because you never no when it will show up.

You can always give in…You can always give out..But never give up. Pretty powerful words when taken in context. This describes me sometimes and what I have a tendency to do. I give out usually but regret my decision and just feel terrible about it but one thing I do not do is give up.I just have to come up with a better way to achieve what I desire. Come on we all do it at some time or another and that’s just to give in give out or hell even give up . Why? Well for one its convenient to do so. Its easy and well why not give up. Who cares anyways. That person in the mirror that’s who.
I have found lately that those bad decisions cause me more set back’s than anything else. Just the other day working with my trainer I gave out just couldn’t move the weight anymore. Did I quit No just found another way to do it. Yes I felt bad for I should have been able to do the weight . No excuses. I hit a roadblock and just could not face the person in the mirror and found another way to continue. Now however we both know what parts I need to work on.
Now just imagine that I just walked away and did not continue. What excuses would I have come up with. I guess this is just my personality when you find something that needs improving its quite simple improve it and leave the excuses where they belong. This not only goes for your healthy living healthy lifestyle but also anything else you want to achieve. Anything worthwhile that you do there will come a time where all seems hopeless and hey the easy way is just to give up. If this happens you have lost everything that has been already gained. The trick is this you must overcome the obstacle and move forward no matter what. This is a sign of true character. And NEVER GIVE UP.

I have been thinking about a question all week and am still thinking about it so I thought I would put it here to see if I can have some better insight into my still thinking about it. Change …What is it? Do we change or do we become what we were meant to be. I have had some very interesting conversations over the last couple of weeks. And why is this relevant to change you ask. The conversations where nothing like I have ever experienced before. They were open ,honest not rehearsed truth and telling it like it is. Well my question is this Did I change or did I become want I was meant to be.
This was a departure from the way I usually did it you know the cautious not telling everything up front way in which I did it before ..I have always been open and honest yet reserved and yes very much cautious. So did I change or become the person that I was always meant to be. This has played in the back of my mind all week. Does a caterpillar change from a caterpillar to a butterfly or does it become what it was meant to be. Or how about does a tadpole change from a tadpole to frog or does it become a frog. Do people change from what they thought they were into someone else or do they become what they were meant to be. As i said its something to think about.
To me I believe we become to what we were meant to be and not change to that. Yet we consider it change for that’s how we always looked at it. Deep within all of us is truely who we are and when and if the time is right rise up to become what were meant to be. I have always hung around with people that were like me yet when I began hanging around with people that have better manners, have more money, have a better lifestyle and began having different feelings about who I really was. And now the quality of my communications this week with that person showed me who I have become and maybe sensing that it was there all along.
